NASA leader Raila Odinga spent Tuesday night at city tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi’s home in Muthaiga.
Upon his arrival at the palatial home, the opposition chief asked the police officers manning the entrance to the residence to leave accusing them of trespassing.
The police officers denied the opposition chief entrance to the main compound with the main forcing him to spend the night in another house within the massive home.
The officers had been camping there since Monday October 26th.
The business mogul had moved to court and obtained a court order that barred the police officers from arresting him.
Officers had found six pistols and a shotgun at Wanjigi’s Malindi home but the family maintained that the weapons were licenced.
The police officers from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit had camped at Wanjigi’s residence after turning the house upside down searching for documents, weapons and other materials that would facilitate investigations.
Reportedly, the NASA presidential candidate wanted to ensure that the business man, one of NASA’S chief financiers, does not get framed further following the Malindi incident.
Raila is said to have spent the night at the home watching football.
However, a NASA legislator who spoke to KTN claimed that the NASA leader had spent at the home after the gate was locked and he could not leave.
Wanjigi’s compound is directly opposite the official residence of American Envoy.
