Why Raila Odinga should not leave for London – MP Joshua Kutuny

Cherangany Member of Parliament funny man Joshua Kutuny has weighed in on recent reports that Raila Odinga could be flying out of Kenya.

 Speaking exclusively to SDE, Kuttuny said that Raila leaving the country at the time the elections were around the corner was contrary to beliefs that the former premiere had fought for.

“Watoto watalala njaa (Children will sleep hungry),” he joked ,”Baba abaki, mbona anataka kwenda (why does he want to go).

The legislature saying that Raila Odinga would be running away from problems. “It would not solve the issues, “he noted.

 Kutuny who worked as Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidential political advisor said that he was glad to be back to the parliament after 5 years in the cold.

He however expressed his fear over the current state of political affairs. “I would appeal to Raila Odinga that if he believes in democracy he should not leave”

The jovial lawmaker who attributed his 2007 win to his use of sheng while campaigning added that issues raised could be solved internally.

About his 2013 loss he said that he lost the 2013 elections to Wesley Korir because he did not campaign in his constituency at the time.

“In 2013 I lost because I was out in the campaign trail campaigning for Uhuru Kenyatta. I was scared Raila might win.”

Kutuny’s message comes a few days after reports that Raila Odinga could be going to London emerged. With Presidential election around the corner this has been a subject of great controversy.

 Supporters claiming that the presidential leader has freedom to visit wherever he wishes. But for those like Joshua Kutuny, they hope the reports do not come pass owing to the current political situation.
