Governor Jackson Mandago has heaped praises on the National Super Alliance (NASA), claiming the coalition played a key role in his re-election.
The politician, who garnered 191,467 against his closest competitor Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop 'Buzeki' (148,121 votes) in the recent polls, said yesterday his endorsement by the Opposition camp gave him a much-needed boost.
"I want to congratulate the NASA team for saying 'Mandago tibim'. Had they not said so, I would not have won the elections. Their supporters should relax because in my next term, I will serve all irrespective of whether you voted for me or not," said Mandago in his first press briefing following his re-election.
NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang'ula, Isaac Ruto and the coalition's national campaign chairman Musalia Mudavadi endorsed Mandago for another term during the campaigns.
In return, he endorsed an ODM candidate for the Langas Ward Member of County Assembly.
