Is Public Likes a scam? That is the question on everyone’s lips right now after Kenyans took to social media to vent out after experiencing ‘technicalities’ with their ‘savings’ in their accounts.
Some have already predicted that doom was headed their way and claim that the new fad could have been a scam that is now tumbling down like the proverbial walls of Jericho.
Well, despite the concerns that have soared in the past day some still swear by their mother’s lives that it is not a scam and that they are smiling all the way to the bank.
They accused those spreading the rumours as naysayers out to ruin the reputation of the ‘company’.
In a communication seen by SDE posted on an unverified Public likes Facebook account, the company stated that..,"We are also aware of the social media publicity generated, we would like to assure our users that publiclikes is here to stay and PTC is only one of our features, we have many more features to enable you work online and generate online income.."
Is something amiss?
So how does Public Likes works?
Public likes is a website that essentially pays you to view adverts after creating an account with them.
Through your account, you get a starter plan that gives you 5 adverts to view every day where in each viewed advert; Ksh10 is credited to your account. You would need to upgrade to new plan that would require Ksh 4500 at the minimum and 90,000 maximum.According to one user, Mercy*, she says it been working alright. “The withdrawals have been working alright, although the platform is not stable”
It takes the basic structure of any business. The more you invest, the more the earnings, but again the higher the risks.
You have probably seen screen shots of those making money, or you know a friend who has or you have personally joined in the frenzy.
They are making money fast and easy and you are probably asking yourself why you are stuck in your 9 to 5pm job.We are also aware of the social media publicity generated, we would like to assure our users that publiclikes is here to stay and PTC is only one of our features, we have many more features to enable you work online and generate online income
But before you jump in too, hold your horses, hold it.
Whether it is a scam or not, good for you, but take time to understand the basic tenets and trappings of the ’easy money scheme’. Then consider the fundamentals of advert revenue and regular earnings from mainstream advert making businesses.
“If you are willing to pump your hard earned cash in a pipe that is headed to a dark alley so be it.” Said one onTwitter.
