After keeping her son’s identity secret for close to a year, TV presenter Janet Mbugua together with her husband Eddie Ndichu, finally held an itega for their son Huru.
An itega is a Kikuyu tradition of celebrating the birth of a child where the new mother and grandmother introduce the baby to the new mother's age mates (rika) and more importantly the grand parent's age mates and close friends.
Though the celebrated TV presenter felt like they might have taken a tad too long, an itega should happen when the child is old enough to meet new people. Preferably from the age of six months.

The weekend event saw the beautiful couple dressed in stunning African attire as father and son wore matching outfits.
The couple exchanged vows at a private garden wedding in 2015.
