Jamaican love doctor and lovers rock crooner Romain Virgo has defended Jamaican artists on claims that they exploit African promoters.
Speaking to SDE on phone ahead of his scheduled first ever concert in Kenya on September 24, Virgo refuted claims by some promoters in Africa who accused Jamaican artists on social media of charging them way above their counterparts yet they call Africa their mother land.
“I don’t think it is right for one to generalize on the mistakes of a few individuals to include all. Truth is, not all Jamaican artists are known to overcharge during their concerts. It all depends with the agreement a artist has with the promoter in question,” said Virgo.
