Sassy and outspoken radio sweetheart Adelle Onyango has rebranded herself, setting an agenda for the rest of this year. Supporting her new look are bold and timeless images looking nothing less than liberated, strong and self-aware.
Speaking about her new look, she says, "If I was to define the new look Adelle, the words I would use are, strength, liberated and self-aware. Not to say that that wasn't who I was before. I think right now I'm more unapologetic about being my true and genuine self."
She has been one of the most vocal people in the media, sharing her story, using herself as testimony that situations cannot define you. She lost her dad, got raped, then lost her mother, broke up with her fiancé and so forth but she has risen through that to become a role model for those looking up to her. “I conquered and I want my life story to inspire someone else to be a conqueror," she added.
She has also backed various social campaigns such as No means no campaign, Intel’s e will connect, Project She among others. Currently she is working with Janet Mbugua on Unicef’s #EndViolence campaign. It is looking at violence online and centering on bullying and other forms of physical violence such as battering including the extremes of butchering.
