In the awake of advanced technology, cheating has become the norm of the day. From Facebook, Instagram, twitter and WhatsApp, people have devised new ways of cheating. Many will be shocked when you check in your partners’ accounts.
With freedom of speech and expression, partners are able to mingle with anybody behind their partners back unnoticed. While relationship is founded on the bedrock of trust, it is nowadays difficult to trust someone. How many relationships and marriages have hit rock once one of the partners realized about cheating? The thing is that with new technology on increase, new avenues for cheating are created.
With the right to privacy, it also becomes difficult for the other partner to monitor his/her partner’s movements. It won’t be possible to know what is happening. For instance in 2013, 78 years old man committed suicide after he caught his wife with another man on his matrimonial bed. Traditionally an elder could not do such a shameful thing.
With research showing that married couples are cheating more than those not married, the society is at stake. Who can then save the society from this pandemic? And this accounts to what a research revealed how majority of men raise kids that are not theirs. The only solution is for the law to be amended where every born child shall be subjected to DNA testing to established biological father.
It has become difficult to know the fate of relationships. You think you’re the only man or woman in his/her life only to be surprised after realizing that you are among them. This is evident mostly during burials where women flock with children claiming to be of the deceased.
We should cease from aping foreign cultures while we ignore our own. Some of these strange cultures have contributed to cheating in most relationships.
