Celebrated Congolese rumba star Noel Ngima Makanda aka Werrason's concert didn't start well sound wise as some of the mics kept going off and the stage speakers were inaudible. His band came to the stage at midnight before Werra took over the show from 1am.
However, the technicians worked on the mishaps and Werrason didn't disappoint his fans during his concert at the Carnivore's Simba Saloon, Nairobi.
The who's-who from Congo thronged the stage one after the other flashing and showering Werrason and his dancers with cash, US Dollars to be precise. Werrason did his latest and old hits, which the huge crowd sang along to.
His promoter Jules Nsana, Benga star Prezda Bandason, Big Ted, Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee among other celebs were present. Larry Asego was the MC and kept switching from English, French and Lingala to blend with the crowd. The curtain-raiser was Emma Jalango, famed for his latest hits Simba Jauriri and Adede among others. Werrason is set to hold another show in the Kisumu today.
