Termed as “the world’s most exclusive and expensive coffee”, Black Ivory is made in Northern Thailand from coffee beans that have passed through an elephant’s digestive system.
This is the brainchild of 40 year-old Blake Dinkin. The Canadian national quit his job and founded the Black Ivory Coffee Company Ltd.
The Arabica coffee beans are fed to elephants and then collected from their feces after 14 to 70 hours.
Its taste has been described as “very smooth without the bitterness of regular coffee".
