Dr Opiyo Mumma: He is best remembered for organising the 3rd International Drama in Education Association (IDEA) congress in Kisumu in July 1998. ‘Nuba’ as the senior lecturer in the Department of Literature, University of Nairobi, was nicknamed, was the ‘connoisseur of pedagogic theatre in Kenya’ which he believed could be used to transform society. The alumnus of the University of Manchester died in 2000.

Prof Albert Mumma: The alumnus of the University of Nairobi (First Class Honours)/ Master of Laws (Yale) and Ph.D (Cambridge) is a legal and policy specialist in institutional restructuring, regulation of utilities and environmental and natural resources law. The lover of tennis and hiking is a Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Nairobi, where he was instrumental in the formulation of the new MA programme.

Dr Gerald A. Mumma: The alumnus of Mississippi State University USA (two Masters degrees and a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics), worked as an economist with the Foodborne and Diarrheal Diseases Branch of the National Center for Infectious Diseases CDC in the USA since 2002 before returning to Kenya in 2007. He died in 2009 at 45

Dr Connie Mumma: Alumnus of University of Leipzig Germany (Ph.D in International Conflict Management), and University of Nairobi ( MA in Diplomacy and International Studies, Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy, International Relations) and Moi University (Bachelor of Education in English Literature), has worked with the UN besides lecturing at University of Nairobi, Hekima College), the National Defense College and Austria’s Peace University.
