The recently concluded Obama visit to Kenya was toughest on two entities; the security personnel and the infamous Kidero grass.
While the security teams collaborated well with Obama’s security detail, the grass did not deliver and largely remained stunted.
Now a video has a surfaced showing the vegetation being uprooted.
The video shows a team of casual workers hard at work uprooting plants which surprisingly are still wrapped in plastic soil bags.
This raised speculations, albeit funny, that the Kidero plants were just for hire at a hefty price tag of over Sh40 million.
Kidero is quoted in a previous interview saying, “We plant grass every year and people keep on stamping and killing it off. Please keep off #KideroGrass for a greener city.”
Kenyans have taken to social media demanding for an explanation from the county government.
