First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta, graces Lornah Kiplagat's female sportswear launch

 First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and elite athlete Lornah Kiplagat hold up one of the apparels that forms part of Lornah Sports wear during the launch of the clothing line at the Galleria Shopping Mall in Nairobi County.  

Former world cross country champion Lornah Kiplagat on Saturday launched her sports clothing line in a ceremony presided over by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at Galleria Mall.

The Lornah apparel was praised as a ‘landmark initiative’ by the First Lady as well as elite sports personalities at the ceremony. “It’s a beautifully made brand, and that it’s a brand for our women”, said Margaret who immediately fell in love with the sports apparel when it was first introduced to her by Lornah last year during a high altitude training session in Iten.

Taunet Nelel hit singer Emmy Kosgei, who graced the occasion described Lornah’s clothing line as another “new beginning”.  

The male version of the clothing line will be launched next year.
