Celebrated Classic 105 presenter Maina Kageni gets back to his popular morning radio show this week, as he also looks forward to hosting Jose Chameleone at Galileos, Westlands this Saturday.
Maina had been hospitalised at Aga Khan Hospital after sustaining a knee injury during a road trip in Kajiado in July. He underwent surgery after doctors established that he had twisted crucial ligaments in the knee and was later discharged early last month. He has since been recovering at home. The showbiz icon, who is arguably one of the youngest big real estate investors in the country, is said to be back on air tomorrow, to join his co-host Mwalimu King’ang’I who has been running the show since.
His return coincides with the arrival of Jose Chameleone, who is East Africa’s ?nest singer. Maina and Jose Chameleone have been great friends for years and it is no surprise Maina will be hosting the famous Ugandan on Saturday when he comes to Galileos launch for a mega concert.
“Galileos is excited about the arrival of Chameleone and even better that Maina Kageni will be hosting the show. This will be one of the best concerts to watch as Jose Chameleone has pledged to hold nothing back. He will sing all his greatest hits, a treat he hardly gives,” a source from Galileos told MondayBlues. Entry will be Sh2,000 and VIP booking starts today.
