After her marriage teaser last week put her in the spotlight, controversial Kenyan singer Akothee pulled yet another first on Saturday night as she showcased her family — including her father Jose Kokeyo — on stage during the well-attended Luo festival held at the Carnivore, Nairobi.
She took everyone by surprise when she called her dad on stage and offered to dance with him as her daughter, too, put her best foot forward sending opposition leader Raila Odinga, who was in attendance, into animated laughter.
The electrified family thrill saw jubilant fans cheer them as Akothee led challenged fans to try beat them. The 1943 born Jose Kokeyo, a retired provincial administrator had came all the way from Awendo, Migori County, just to witness his daughter perform.
