Groove Awards Female artiste of the Year 2016 Mercy Masika comforted mourners at the funeral of Mzee Titus Muendo Kisilu, father to Pulse Editor Stevens Muendo.
Masika, performing days after she bagged the coveted prize, performed her Kamba hit Amukomete, to a rousing reception from the hundreds who turned up to pay their last respects to Mzee Kisilu.
The burial, in Nzeeni Village, Kisau Location, was attended by among others secular artiste Nasty Bull. The Standard Group’s delegation was led by Editorial Administrator Andy Kagwa, who eulogised the late Kisilu.
Also present were Retired Chief of Defence Forces Jeremiah Kianga, area MP Michael Kisoi Munyao and MCA Jackson Ngovi.
