Local celebs have joined hands to restore the dignity of the school-going children. Under the banner ‘Ficha Uchi’, celebs among them Sage, Holy Dave and radio presenter Adele Onyango were joined by the former prime minister’s daughter Rosemary Odinga at the Ayany Primary School, Kibra Constituency, Nairobi County.
Ficha Uchi is a campaign initiative aimed at restoring the dignity of school-going pupils who feel embarrassed in their torn uniforms while going through the paces in school. The campaign identifies pupils with badly torn uniforms countrywide and restores their dignity by giving them a complete uniform makeover
‘This is a great initiative for the kids and we are proud of being part of an initiative that restores the dignity of our pupils, and which builds their confidence and enhances their best performance in school,” said Rosemary.
