Following rumours that the University of Nairobi union president Babu Owino was robbed by unknown assailants within Nairobi CBD last week, the vocal leader has refuted the reports.
“I was utterly shocked by these baseless claims. I am fine and nothing happened to me. These are malicious rumours being spread by my political enemies to tarnish my name,” he told MondayBlues.
Rumour had it that Babu was robbed at gunpoint with the sources adding that he had lost cash, vital documents and electronic gadgets.
