Sauti Sol aren’t the only ones running for an award this year but our very own music trio Elani, are on the tracks as well.
The trio’s KooKoo song has been nominated for Most Gifted Video in East Africa in the Channel O Awards 2014. The group will be battling it out with Sauti Sol, who are also in the same category with their Nishike video alongside Diamond, Eddy Kenzo and Navio.
The group, which has been in the spotlight for their urban afro beats, seems to be taking Kenya by storm with their simplicity and sensible music. They ecently treated their fans to a double release of their two songs Barua Ya Dunia and Zuzu, which have both been well received.
It seems there is no stopping the fresh and talented Elani as they continue taking the music industry by storm. Who do you think will win the awards? Elani or Sauti Sol? The battle is on.
