That chocolate beauty landed a Vogue cover!
To put the magnitude of that achievement in perspective, even Kim Kardashian was considered unworthy to be on the cover of Vogue Magazine. Some faithful readers of the magazine boycotted the Kim Kardashian edition! Vogue has been cited as the world’s most influential fashion magazine and has one of the largest circulation numbers in the fashion industry. It is also in 23 countries.
The movie Devil Wears Prada was adapted from Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Anne Wintour who is considered to be the iron lady of Fashion.
Back to our Lupita, she looks stunning on the cover of Vogue and wears fashion like it was created for her.
In the array of breathtaking photos, there is one image that takes our breath away, literally. Our very own daughter from the lakeside is staring a cobra in the eyes!
Was it a prop, was it devenomized? We don’t care! It’s a snake, a cobra in all its shiny scary glory! We run from snakes, we beat the crap out of snakes, we point bibles and crosses at snakes, we don’t look them in the eye and model with them! This shoot was done in Marrakech, Morroco where cobras abound.
But our Lupita dominates the photo that you may even fail to notice the snake at first (if you are not African) and sells the fashion pieces. And that is the definition of a supermodel!
All we can say to Lupita, you go girl!
