Ben was one of Kenya's most prolific rally drivers
Veteran rally driver Ben Muchemi or Baba Shiru as he was fondly known has passed on.The rally driver succumbed to cancer at the MP Shah hospital yesterday at 5:30 p.m. ,barely a week after returning from India for treatment.
Muchemi was the chairman of the Kenya Motor Sports Federation until his death.He was also the chairman of the Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB) following his appointment in January this year.
