Westgate Terror: In honour of our fallen loved ones

We at the Standard Group pay tribute to all the souls lost and to all those who have suffered in the terrorist attack on Westgate Mall. Our nation grieves at the brutality of this randomized attack. This strike, by terrorists believed to be Al Shabaab, targeted Kenya, Kenyans and all who are part of Kenya.

Our hearts go out to all those who have lost their loved ones and our prayers for all who are suffering. We wish you strength and courage in your trauma and loss. For those who are gone, we thank God that they lived with us and among us, and will remember them always in our hearts, each of them, who touched so many lives.

For those who now carry the heaviest burden in coming to terms with their losses, we pray for your courage and offer our unconditional support and our prayers. We are one nation. All who died are one of us.

All who suffer are ours. All religions are one before God. All peoples are one before God. We shall not cease until we have rooted out those who seek to divide and destroy us, and we do so knowing that good will always prevail over evil.

We call on all Kenyans everywhere to stand shoulder-to shoulder, brothers and sisters, united in resolve, as we all and together grieve those that have fallen for us all and offer our support in all possible ways for their bereaved
