Does online flirting amount to cheating?

Although, we might not want to come clean, we have at one point in our dating game being cheated on.

It hurts. Leaves you feeling used and ‘low-grade’. You feel bad that all the emotions and time you had invested in the relationship went down the drain. Trust me, it is a tear-jerking experience.

Most guys argue cheating can either be physical or emotional.

In the physical part, it is where you find your man or woman hitting in between the sheets with another person.

On the other hand, emotional, is where an absent spouse whose ‘connection’ with is dead. She or he rarely talks to you and prefers talking to outsiders when the two of you fight.

But what happens when there is no ‘man’ or woman’ involved in the act?

For example, is using a dildo considered cheating?  When one of my girlfriends came clean of her dildo addiction, I was astounded.

She claims her boyfriend travels a lot and hence she sometimes suffers from the dry spell. Her argument is simple. There is no man involved; hence it cannot be termed as physical or emotional cheating.

Someone gets friend zoned

Whether you agree with her or not, my thumb of rule is, if you are not thinking about another man while at it, no worries!

Social media has eased cheating. It all starts with online flirting then leads to two people exchanging phone numbers and either they hook up or someone gets friend zoned.  Social media has become a platform where people solicit for sex.

“If a woman or a man flirts a lot online is that considered cheating?”

It is one thing for someone to compliment another person, and is another thing for them to blatantly flirt knowing they are disrespecting your spouse.

Chat apps have also made the cheating avenue much more accessible because people get to exchange instant message with messages that ‘express’ how they feel.

If you happen to send pictures or messages that are intended for your significant other, then that is a form of cheating.

If your significant other is flirting with someone online, it is important to confront him and demand he stops.  Always speak up when you feel unappreciated. Further, you should know when the juice is not worth the squeeze!  Do you agree with these remarks?
