Chocolate-skinned woman
Their colour skin is one that most men can’t easily forget or ignore. Chocolate brown, almost feels like a bar of chocolate melting in your mouth, touching the palate. A castle of African beauty.
For years, light-skinned women have been perceived more alluring with some international celebs like Lil Wayne openly showing his dislike for ‘dark skin’. The musician once claimed ‘only light skinned women give birth to children with long hair’.
His comments, back home, provoked a furious backlash from the menfolk. Clearly, Nairobi men yearn to ‘caress’ this skin colour. Often dark-skinned women are considered mean, domineering and standoffish.
Case in point was the labels that followed Michelle Obama during the campaign for her hubby’s presidency. This week, we want to break the mental shackles pegged on ‘chocolate- skinned’ women.
Aren’t they more beautiful, even slightly more alluring than ‘yellow-yellow’?
