Just recently Limuru women held demostrations asking the government to help them manage rampant alcoholism in area which led to sexual dysfunction. The women were particularly angry because there were so many young married women, but only a few were pregnant.
The same bug has caught one of Kenya’s conservative women who over the years have led a very quiet and traditional life focusing on their cows and milk. Maasai women from Isinya town, in Kajiado County who hit the streets to protest against immorality in the area.
The women in their hundreds carrying clubs, sticks, whips and twigs matched in the area singing songs in Maasai language, claiming that sex workers in Isinya had taken away their husbands. They were intercepted by their husbands and local leaders, pleading with them not to cause mayhem in Isinya.
