Tanzania’s songbird Zuchu is nursing a knee injury following an accident ahead of her Nigeria concert.
The Sukari hitmaker, who did not give many details about the nature of the accident, said she felt “sad and confused” having to decide whether to cancel her show or not.
Taking to Twitter, Zuchu said cancelling a show is one of the “hardest decisions” an artiste has to make, adding that she would still perform in Nigeria despite the injury.
“Nimepata ajali ndogo iliyo umiza goti langu jana siku moja kabla ya safari yangu kwenda kuperform Kwenye show Ya Muhimu kwangu nchini Nigeria. Canceling a show is one of the hardest decisions siwezi as an artist leo ndo nimejua .Nitakwenda hivyohivyo,”Zuchu said.
The singer also shared a short clip of herself in the hospital with blood oozing from the knee injury and a doctor seemingly stitching up the wound.
Zuchu also shared that her manager Dorice Mziray advised her against performing, asking her to focus on her recovery. However, the singer said she opted not to cancel the show as that would make her feel guilty and asked her fans to pray for her.
“My manager keeps telling me Afya ni muhimu ila najua ntajiskia vibaya zaidi kutaka kucancell kwenye show kama hii naona bora nikapambanie stagini so pray for me,” Zuchu tweeted.
