Celebrated Bongo star Diamond Platnumz has said that he is ready to work with his long-time rival, fellow star Ali Kiba, should an opportunity present itself.

Speaking at an interview with Wasafi radio, Diamond said his management has tried to reach out to Kiba to work on a project.

He added that in the past, he has invited Ali Kiba to his shows.

Nishapigia simu Menejimenti yake tukitaka tuandae show, nilishamwalika kwenye show zangu kabla hata ya Wasafi Festival, mimi sina noma yaani fresh tu, (I have ever reached out to his management through a phone call. I wanted us to organise a show. I have also invited him over to my shows even before Wasafi Festival came to be. I don’t have anything against him) said Diamond.

The Nawaza singer added that artistes should rise above creating small conflicts amongst themselves to seek relevance.

Ila kuna mawazo ambayo Watanzania tunatakiwa tuyafute, ili wewe uonekane mkubwa lazima ugombane na mtu, mimi sina noma halafu kila mtu namuheshima kwa upande wake.

Diamond, however, maintained that mutual respect is key and he would not tolerate any sort of disrespect directed at him.

“Ila mtu akitaka kunivunjia heshima, usitake kunibadilisha, unitotoshe, hapo ndio sikubali, kila mtu achukue heshima yake.

His sentiments come barely a week after he released his EP dubbed First of All. In one of the songs, Diamond touches on his long-standing beef with fellow star Ali Kiba, stating that after deep thought he has realised they differ over petty things like fanbase and popularity.

Nilowaza leo nishawaza sana, mi na Kiba ugomvi kipi nikagundua ni ushamba na ujana wa kugombania mashabiki,” he sings, hinting that he has grown in the industry and no longer focuses on such issues.
