Rihanna’s father reacts to daughter’s pregnancy

Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty is over the moon following the announcement of the singer’s pregnancy. Speaking during an interview with PageSix, the 68-year-old Barbadian revealed that he is beyond excited to know that his celebrity daughter will be a mother soon, making him a grandfather of three.

Explaining how he received the news, Ronald Fenty disclosed that he literally jumped up and down like a little baby full of excitement.

“I’m ecstatic. I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited,” he said.

Fenty added that since childhood, Rihanna has always loved children and longed to be a mother. In fact, according to him, Rihanna has always taken care of her cousins’ children during gatherings. He strongly believes that she will make a good mother.

“Rihanna always said that she wanted children, she loves kids. She always takes care of her cousins’ kids…she’s going to be a good mom,” he added.

Asked about his relationship with Rihanna’s soon to be baby daddy - A$AP Rocky, Fenty described him as a loving and cool person who will also be a great father to his unborn grandchild.

“He is a very cool guy. I like him,” he said.

Rihanna announced that she was on the family way barely a day ago and the revelation has taken the world by storm. The singer debuted her baby bump wearing a long pink jacket while out in New York City over the weekend with her rapper boyfriend.

According to reports, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were friends for many years before they began dating. In May last year, Rapper A$AP Rocky revealed to GQ magazine that Rihanna was the love of his life and that he badly wanted to be a father.

"I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad," he said adding that. "I would have a very fly child."
