Chemical Hearts is a romantic drama movie that recently debuted on Amazon Prime Video. The movie is based on the novel "Our Chemical Hearts" by Krystal Sutherland and follows the story of Henry Page, a high school student who falls in love with the new transfer student, Grace Town. The film explores the complexities of love and relationships, as well as the struggles of growing up and finding one's identity.

Thumbs up:

One of the pros of Chemical Hearts is its strong performances by its lead actors, Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams. Both actors bring an emotional depth to their characters and their chemistry on-screen is believable and captivating. The film's soundtrack is also noteworthy, with a carefully curated selection of songs that add to the mood and atmosphere of the movie. Chemical Hearts is a well-acted, emotional movie while the tone reminded of The perks of being a wallflower. If you are someone that easily cries watching movies, you should totally bring a tissue with you.

Thumbs down:

Some viewers may find the storyline slow-moving and lack a sense of urgency, and the pacing can be uneven at times. Additionally, the movie may not provide the satisfying conclusion that some audiences are looking for, leaving some plot threads unresolved.

Verdict

As valentine's day approaches, fans of slow-burning, character-driven dramas will find this film endearing.
