1. On Kenya’s music scene in 2014
The scene has been an interesting affair as there has been a considerable amount of growth in terms of the number of people getting into the music business and of course continental and international recognition of some of our talented acts.
2. On why Kenya is playing catch up to the rest of the continent
Kenya’s music business has grown faster than the laws and regulations regulating the trade had envisaged. A lot of the money that could be generated from music is lost through the vice of piracy.
3. On rising cases of public stripping of ladies...
Stripping women in public based on whatever reason is uncouth. Society has its norms that guide the mode of conduct. It is important that we are all responsible and accountable.
4. On rising insecurity...
The Government should be as meticulous about security issues as the Ethiopian government. Kenya should be able to contain her land. Secondly, if Kenya was truly unified, then the security issue would be controllable.
5. On his ritual before a performance?
My ritual before any performance is to pray and ask for blessings.
