For the first time since her divorce from Tanzanian husband Vini, celebrated Kenyan singer Nazizi has opened up about the troubled affair and her readiness to date another man.

The former Necessary Noise singer has also refuted rumours that she is lesbian and that she divorced her man because she wanted to share his wealth.

“We both agreed, his (wealth) is his and mine is mine. The only thing that he has responsibility for is our son. His school fees has to be paid and we agreed on that, nothing more,” the singer is quoted as having said in a story that ran in a section of the media yesterday.

The award-winning star and the Tanzanian businessman divorced last year after five years of marriage during which they had a son Tafari.

She had relocated to Lamu where the two had bought prime property besides running businesses.

However, the marriage hit the rocks two years ago and now Nazizi claims that her man was hardly there for the family saying he was always on business trips.

Vini who dated Nazizi for 11 years before the two got married was the singer’s forth boyfriend.

“I have moved on. I can consider dating if the man would be brave enough to do so,” she is quoted as having said after claiming that many men fear dating her because “they think I’m tough”.
