The National Community Based Organisations (CBOs) President Tom Aosa, was arrested under unclear circumstances, and locked up by police a week ago, MondayBlues has learned.
The flamboyant civil rights crusader was in the company of youthful Machakos businessman Ben Nzeki, when the officers arrested him.
The incident happened in Kilome town where the two had taken a break as they were preparing to drive back to Nairobi from a weekend party hosted by one of their friends in Makueni.
The armed officers appeared at a restaurant where the two were having a drink. Sources have it that there was a dramatic altercation between the two groups before the officers arrested Aosa.
He was locked up and quizzed for hours and was only released after he identified himself as the CBO boss.
When MondayBlues reached out to get comments on the incidence, Aosa only said that there was a misunderstanding between him and the officers adding that the issue had been sorted amicably.
