Bishop Allan Kiuna: 3 ways to use your talent to achieve your purpose

County_RiftValley

The variance in the degree of success in people’s talents has been a hot topic in history.

While a majority of people go through life in a constant struggle to get by, others seem to succeed almost effortlessly, as if reading from a script crafted by divine power.

My take is that nobody was born empty. We each carry seeds of greatness and possess the potential to outdo any records of achievements from the past.

You’ve got something bigger in you than you realise! But how well you articulate your purpose has a tremendous bearing on the amount of success you shall walk in. In my humble submission, I believe that before setting foot on the journey to greatness, each and everyone of us should first concretely identify their authentic purpose, not with a fork, but with a toothpick.

I was born to do this

You are not permitted to begin until you have found purpose at a degree that is ultra-precise. There is a place in the location of purpose where everything in you must reverberate in unison and resonance, in witness to the accurate conclusion that ‘I was born to do this!’ We all are equally gifted, just differently.

And while some seem to bask in successive successes, endlessly indulging in conquest after conquest, and seemingly more favoured by life, unknown to us, we also share in the same privilege. The difference is in the price we are willing to pay to make our dreams a resounding, victorious reality. While some utilise every moment, especially while in obscurity to sharpen the tool of their trade, others waste that chance wallowing in self-pity, looking for employment and peddling their talent in exchange for food.

What looks like delay is in actuality not wastage of time, but an opportunity for clarity of purpose. What you do in moments when the world seems to be ignoring you determines their response when they finally discover you.

Absolute fulfillment of purpose

See purpose from afar and prepare hard for it. Vision is seeing purpose in the light of its absolute fulfillment. Money does not flow in a vacuum, it follows vision. If you will discover, nurture, develop and pursue purpose relentlessly, money will follow you restlessly.

People who accurately decipher their purpose succeed immensely, not just with ease, but at a level of satisfaction and fulfillment that money cannot purchase. Success is not the number of trophies we can amass around ourselves; vehicles, houses or luxury accessories, it is how well we can solve someone else’s problem. Purpose begs to ask a very simple question: are you solution enough?

True success is the sum total of the invaluable and unquantifiable impressions, indelible marks and impacts that you have made on people’s lives which they can never repay you for. There are people who must owe their existence, success, opportunities and chances to you.

True legacy is when people, unrelated and unknown to you, smile in the privacy of their lives because of the change you brought to their lives. Until your existence creates tangible transformation in others, your success is delusional. In purpose, if your entrance doesn’t bring an impact, your exit will make no difference.

The discovery of your talent must be followed by a ruthless practice routine. Did you know that whatever you spend ten thousand hours doing, you become an expert in? Did you know that if you dedicate just one hour per day to do something, in a few years you will become one of the best, if not the best in it?

Once you discover your talent, practice it! Practice makes perfect. Precision requires practice! Build capacity in your gift, not for village performance, but for world dominance. Every talent has a place in the international arena, regardless of the current popular opinion of the masses. Anytime, every time, a man’s gift shall make room for him and bring him before great men.

Reason for the season

Stretch it beyond the elastic limit and expose it to conditions beyond the familiar, the regular and the normal until the results of its performance outdo the mediocrity of others. Until you can perform above and beyond the best performances of other people in your field, you will remain a runners-up in a world that only compensates top position trophy winners. You were not born to be second class or the under-dog, you are the reason for the season, the crème de la crème When God created you, He wasn’t tired; live up to the power of that nature!
