Size or Mind: Research reveals the secret to sexual satisfaction

“Now what have you done?”

That was the question a good friend was asked by his newlywed wife after the show lasted shorter than it was anticipated.

If what professionals say is true, the size of manhood doesn’t really matter.

In fact, it has been said that size does not influence performance in any way.

This has however never dissipated the debate on size, to the extent that a man’s penis has become mythical.

There could be a breakthrough. The answer every woman has been waiting for is finally here. In a study published in the British Journal of Urology (BJU), scientists have revealed that a normal male organ is 5.2 inches (13.12 cm) when erect.

The research, done by a team from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College in London, included 17 studies of 15,521 men who underwent penis size measurements by health professionals using a standard procedure.

Speaking to Britain’s Mail Online, lead author David Veale took notice of the fact that men are constantly put down because of size.

According to Veale, it was important that everybody knows what the normal size of the human penis is before anyone is chided or told off.

“Men compare themselves in locker rooms and with pornography on the internet and believe they are inferior. Some men have been teased by sexual partners about their length. There are lots of men who might be worried – and we think reassuring men they are in the normal range will help,” he said.

According to Dr Stephen Mutiso, a Kenyatta National Hospital gynaecologist, biology has fashioned the male organ for the purpose of reproduction.

While pleasure may take centre stage, the penile shaft is designed to deliver sperms into a woman’s reproductive pockets.

“As long has one’s organ is able to perform this function, they are fine,” says Dr Mutiso.

On whether bigger organs are likely to deliver more pleasure to a woman, the medic says the act of copulation is firstly dependent on the brain rather than the length and size of a penis. The state of one’s mind, he says, is paramount. The brain, it has been said before, is the biggest sexual organ that humans possess.

“The sexual act cannot take place in absence of good health: a healthy mind and body,” he says.

However, in a previous interview, Maurice Matheka, he of the risqué profession called sexology, insisted that a man’s skills in the bedroom is the ultimate determinant of the satisfaction his woman receives. “Size,” he stated, “does not matter.”

Part of the reason why Veale and his team conducted the study was to assist medics who may encounter patients suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a serious anxiety disorder relating to body image.

BDD causes a person to have a distorted view of how they look and they can spend an obsessive amount of time worrying about their appearance.

So, 5.2 inches is all the women get and all they will ever get – unless they use some unorthodox means to achieve a bigger size. But then again, having known that size isn’t much of a factor, why risk so much?
