Kenyatta, Odinga dynasties are dying — Kabogo

 Kabogo, who is defending his seat as an independent candidate, believes that the two dynasties are soon coming to an end

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo is convinced that the country is witnessing the end of Kenya’s two political dynasties.

First President Jomo Kenyatta and vice president-turned-rival Jaramogi Odinga’s families have been the forces shaping politics in Kenya since independence. And as the country prepares for another election, the focus is on the two families.

Kabogo, who is defending his seat as an independent candidate, believes that the two dynasties are soon coming to an end.

In a video clip seen by The Nairobian, Kabogo who was speaking in Kiambu said: “Let me tell you here. You listen. The Odingas and Kenyatta’s dynasties are coming to an end. It is true they are coming to an end. Uhuru Kenyatta is the last fall of Kenyatta and Raila Odinga is the last one of Oginga, and Kenya will move on. I am saying the truth that nobody has the balls to mouth”.

Kabogo who claimed he was rigged out of the Jubilee nominations, lashed out at Jubilee, saying Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto should not coerce them to vote six-piece.

“How do you come to Ruiru to tell us to vote for Jubilee six-piece, you want me and my wife there to vote for Waititu?” he posed.

He also blamed Uhuru for showing that he cares for his supporters only when hunting for votes.

“You go to Githurai 45 roundabout and spend the whole day clapping and singing Oh gaka gaitu ga gwiciarira (Oh this is ours by birth). Will you go home after that and find unga at your gate? He challenged.

Kabogo added that, “You are only remembered after five years and when Kabogo speaks the truth, they say he is a bad person. A day will come when I, Kabogo or Uhuru, will come to Githurai roundabout, and you people will fail to show up because you will be busy making money,” said Kabogo.

He claimed that his loss to Ferdinard Waititu was orchestrated by Ruto.

“We know Waititu was brought by Ruto, and I want the ones recording me here to share this video with them. They can take me where they wish,” he said.

He added that, “I am not fought because of you people, it is because of 2022 politics. I am with them bumper to bumper, and will not be quiet anymore. I had talked about it earlier and told him (Ruto) ‘you will not get the seat on a silver platter. You will have to convince us by your development record if you want us to give it to you. You people should also stop declaring me somebody’s deputy. Even he can be my deputy”.

He stated that he will not hesitate from speaking his mind.

“I will be free and speak louder than ever. If you Kiambu people will not listen to me, know that people in Murang’a, Nyeri, Embu and other places will listen to me (sic)” said Kabogo.
