Someone stop 'hustler' Ruto from misleading the youth - Mudavadi

The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi wants Deputy President William Ruto stopped from calling himself ‘hustler’.

The former Deputy Prime Minister said the DP is instilling hustling mentality among the youth and that persistent use of the word hustler may push them to engage in illegal activities to become overnight millionaires.

He said that the way the DP described himself was setting a bad precedent for the young generation and that it could encourage laziness among the youth.

DP Ruto has been heard in public claiming that he is a hustler who acquired his wealth by sheer hard work. Mudavadi stated that the spirit of Africanism demands one to work extra hard to get wealth.

“If DP Ruto stands on a podium to address a crowd and keeps insisting that he is a hustler and every weekend he splashes millions of shillings in harambees, such a person is sending you a message indirectly that you don’t need to work hard to become rich; that but you can get wealth through easy means,” Mudavadi claimed. He further claimed that the Jubilee government had corrupted everything and was now targeting the morals of the youth.

“This cursed government does not believe in the values of hard work but a strange pseudo-work ethic called hustling,” said Mudavadi.

According to Mudavadi, Jubilee government has been cursed. He is appealing for serious cleansing of Jubilee government to avert other scandals. Mudavadi claimed that some powerful forces in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard of Mount Kenya coerced him (Uhuru) to ascend to power.

“I know Uhuru was not ready to be the president of Kenya. His recent remarks that his hands were tied in the fight against corruption confirms that indeed he was not prepared to lead the country,” said Mudavadi.
