Men who shun polygamy are cowards - 'Polygamy Kenya' president

‘Polygamy Kenya’ President Raphael Brave Magero has lashed at Kenyan men for fearing polygamy.

‘The president’, who operates from Royal guest house along Mumias Busia road, regretted that even after the Marriage Act 2014 sailed through parliament, few men are willing to marry second wives. He says they instead prefer to engage in mpango wa kando and prostitution but can never gather courage to bring home a woman as second, third or fourth wife.

“Most men are cowards. Be like Solomon of the Bible who married many wives openly and brought his concubines home,” he said, adding, “I also had trouble introducing my second wife to the first. She (first wife) initially caused drama, but she later accepted my decision,” he said.

So, what is his secret?

“Keep the first wife busy and she will forget about the new woman in the home. Ensure she gets a new venture which will tighten her schedule making her leave early in the morning and return late evening. That kills her psychologically and subsequently reduces her fighting spirit. Before she knows it the second has already settled,” he advised.

“My father Fredrick Dindi who had basic education was a successful polygamist with five wives,” he shared with The Nairobian but was hesitant to divulge whether he used that to lure his first wife.

Raphael Brave was elected president of the organisation on October 2015.

The group meets once after two months to discuss polygamy issues. “We discuss issues revolving around polygamy, domestic violence and the rights of the women. We are not yet established and lack money to fund our campaigns,” he said.
