Drama as wife catches top manager husband with mpango wa kando

Drama unfolded in Aroso estate in Migori County after a senior utility company manager was caught with his alleged mpango wa kando.

Peter Murunga was caught by his wife Joyce Kandie in another woman’s house, an incident that has left residents of Migori in shock.

According to Kandie, she had gone to see her husband whom she accused of neglecting her and their children. Murunga is said to have left his home in November last year to live with the alleged mpango wa kando.

Kandie who accused her husband of failing to provide for his family, found him with the woman identified as Susan Roki.

Kandie said she was aware of her husband’s ‘promiscuity,’ and that she had gone to ask for money, but lost her cool when he allegedly attacked her.

“I had gone to ask him for money for food and upkeep. But when he opened the door, he started beating me. This is what made me angry and why I damaged his car,” she claimed.

She said she had warned the woman that she would trace and embarrass her if they did not end the relationship.

She further alleged that her husband had moved her from a Sh15,000 per month house to a house whose rent cost a paltry Sh2,000 a month, besides making her go through the shame of borrowing to survive. “All this time, he was entertaining a mpango wa kando and even bought her a car. My husband has been bewitched by this old woman who has four children,” said Kandie.

“I have been to the children’s office and even reported to the police. He beats me up, he tells me my class is so low, that I am not educated and all I think about is sex,” she alleged.

The confrontation attracted a huge crowd who demanded to discipline the man and his mpango wa kando.

The two locked themselves in the house and it took the intervention of police officers to calm the crowd and get them out of the house. They were then driven to Migori Police Station.

The man also doubles up as part time human resources lecturer at a university college in Migori.

Kandie says she was tipped off by a friend about her husband’s whereabouts.
