A Kakamega man tickled a court after he begged for forgiveness for being drunk.
Manase Odhiambo claimed that on April 16, he was rushing home to take flour to his wife when cops arrested him.
“I was walking home from a posho mill in the neighbourhood when police on patrol arrested me. I tried explaining to them to let me take the flour home but they refused. I was drunk but not disorderly,” he insisted, adding that, “I have fought in the cells since Saturday to keep this unga intact. I pray that the court sets me free to enable me support my children.”
Luckily, the court set him free. “The court has considered your mitigation, the two days you spent behind bars is enough. Take the flour to your family and don’t break the law again,” ordered the magistrate.
