Hundreds of city men could be suffering from low sexual ‘horse power’ according to herbalists who gathered in Nairobi for the first ever herbal medicine show this month.
Over 500 herbalists from 35 counties under National Traditional Health Practitioners Association (Natheba) headed by Dr Paul Okibo showcased libido-boosting herbs as well as those for treating cancer, allergies, skin diseases and HIV.
Natheba has existed for 10 years with libido-boosting herbs being the most sought after. Okibo is however lamenting the lack of government support during budgetary allocation. According to City Secretary General Robert Motari, “Causes of low libido range from poor diet, and even family planning injections,” he adds that foods high in fibre give men much needed energy.
“That’s why people think men from Kisii County score higher in bed, what matters is diet,” he said.
Rev Larry Orago, the Secretary General of the Association, mourned the influx of quacks into herbal medicine.
