Police have arrested a man posing as a senior education officer, who has allegedly conned unsuspecting city school heads.
Henry Orina, 35, has reportedly been going around schools pretending to be a senior officer from the Ministry of Education and demanding to inspect the institutions.
According to police, Orina, targeted private schools and would demand to inspect their registration certificates, work plans, schemes or work, class registers, fees structures and payment of teachers.
He was arrested on March 19 at St Patrick Academy in Nairobi after police and the school management laid a trap for him. On the fateful day, Orina arrived at the school and demanded to see the headmaster, but was pounced by the police.
His case will be heard on April 2.
