Kisii University has admitted 4,000 first year students.
The students were selected by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), with many others being self-sponsored.
This development comes despite biting hostel crisis.
The university’s Dean of Students, Mrs Gladys Osoro, welcomed the new batch of students at the university who were accompanied by their parents and guardians.
