Ramathan Govule, Brian Kikaawa and Fred Odur, according to Africanews, went missing from their hotel on Monday as the team, Rugby Cranes, was preparing to leave after the three-day 12-nation tournament in which they finished tenth.
With the three gone, the Ugandan coach had to find replacement to have a full team that played against Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Tunisia, Zambia, Ghana, Morocco and Senegal in the Africa Cup Sevens in Kampala on this past weekend.
This comes against the backdrop of three Ugandan boxers, David Ayiti, Muzamiru Kakande and Geoffrey Kakeeto refusing to return from Germany two months ago where they had gone to represent the country in World Boxing Championship, only to claim that they were looking for clubs to sign them.
