Former University of Nairobi student leader Babu Owino, who won the Embakasi East parliamentary seat in last week's General Election, joined friends and supporters at Kiza Lounge in Nairobi on Saturday night to celebrate his victory.
The popular and sometimes controversial Babu joined flamboyant businessman Kevin Obia, who was celebrating his birthday, in a ceremony that also saw Babu showered with praise following his win.
It was an invite-only party where drinks flowed freely and merry making was taken a notch higher as the attendants literally showered Obia with dollar bills and expensive champagne.
According to a source, the total bill came to more than Sh1 million.
Also present was Nigerian singer D’Banj’s brother Kay Switch, prominent businessman Gor Semalang'o and showbiz icon Shaffie Weru.
