Shame as visiting Murang'a drunk pees in his father-in-law’s living room

There is a good reason as to why alcohol is commonly referred to as “the devil’s” drink. No one can relate to this truism better than one young man in Murang’a County, whose marriage to his sweetheart now hangs on the balance after he, in a drunken stupor, peed in his would-be father-in-law’s living room, scandalising himself and his kin.

The drunken would-be son-in-law disgraced himself in moments of reckless abandon after a binge drinking to celebrate a successful introductory meeting.

The embarrassing act, which was deemed as an abomination by many, cost him heavily as it saw his thoroughly peeved in-laws call off the dowry negotiations and marriage arrangements with immediate effect.

The young lad, who was companied by his parents, relatives, and friends, had travelled all the way to meet his fiancée’s parents with intentions of initiating dowry negotiations, in preparation for marriage. The two lovebirds had met a couple of months earlier, and after several dates, got insanely in love with one another.

So smitten was the lass that she, like many women are wont, overlooked her mate’s alcoholism and inability to contain himself while under the influence, considering his was an occasional case of overindulgence.

The young man had taken things to another level by introducing his object of desire to his parents who had given her a clean bill of health, citing her perfect social skills and hardworking nature. They urged him to proceed and marry her with speed, seeing as most of his peers have settled down.

However, all hell broke loose after the meeting between the respective parents of the two lovers where negotiations to do with ruracio (dowry) had been discussed at length.

The process had moved on smoothly. Characterised with pomp and colour, those in attendance broke in song and dance, eclipsing the earlier stalemate that had prevailed during the dowry negotiations.

After the two families parted early in the evening, the young man, his friends and his fiancés brother proceeded to a local pub to celebrate and drown away the day’s dreariness.

Here, they imbibed copious amounts of beer and became so drunk that they could not go back home in Kiambu County. This prompted his prospective brother-in-law to offer them accommodation.

“There is no need to travel back at night yet we have a lot of space here. You are almost part of this family. I will accommodate you together with your friends,” the fiancée’s brother offered. But in the middle of a nap, meant to sober him up, the young man felt nauseous and immediately made as if to get to the latrine.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it in time. He whipped out his member and proceeded to irrigate the floor, as he mumbled gibberish. As if that was not enough, vomit gushed out of his mouth profusely while at it.

The girl’s parents, who were having supper, stopped and stared at the man in shock. They wondering what had become of him after he had conducted himself with lots of decorum earlier.

Efforts by his girlfriend’s brothers to pull him away proved too little too late as damage had already been done.

When he woke up the following morning, he only had fleeting recollections of the previous nights’ events. His attempts to redeem himself by apologising proved futile as they gave him marching orders.
