Following the publication of her controversial content on being a modern-day pagan as well as her disassociation with the Black Lives Matter movement, Florida-based singer Kenyan Hippie now says she fears for her life.

The singer, poet and activist claims strangers have been tracking her online account, with some threatening her with dire consequences.

“I am fearing for my life as I have these strangers creeping into my online spaces and stalking me, a matter I am taking seriously as I do not know what their end game could be,” she told Pulse.

“I believe this is also happening because of my ‘unpopular’ content on TikTok. The strangers have been stalking me as well as harassing me online.”

The threats come days after she released her first single, Thuku ya Gukena, an English Afro-fusion song laced with Kikuyu dialect.

Born and raised in a Christian family, Kenyan Hippie converted to Islam after completing her undergraduate studies at Daystar University.

A year later, she became a pagan, alleging that there is less judgment and confusion outside the world of religions.

She said she was attracted to this way of life after watching the Secret Law of Attraction; a 2006 documentary by Rhonda Byrne and Paul Harrington. The film talks about the secrets to leading a happy and successful life.
