A city woman is nursing serious injuries after her husband reportedly poured hot water on her breasts to punish her for alleged infidelity.
Samson Musyoki allegedly scalded Pauline Kasiva’s breasts and hands at their home in Makadara on November 8.
Pauline told police that her husband arrived home at around 7pm on the material day and started accusing her of having an affair with another man who owns a salon in the neighbourhood.
Musyoki reportedly claimed he had evidence from ‘local spies’ to prove that Pauline had been spending too much time at the man’s salon, and sometimes massaging the owner when the salon is not busy.
In the ensuing argument, Musyoki allegedly picked boiling water in a large ‘sufuria from a gas cooker and poured it on his wife’s breasts. She was rushed to hospital by her son and neighbours and the matter was later reported to police leading to Musyoki’s arrest.
He denied the charge and was released on a Sh50, 000 cash bail.
The case will be heard on March 3, 2015.
