Shock as gays offer university students Sh250 for sex

Men and women alleged to be gays have begun a massive marketing campaign in Nairobi universities.

Campus Vibe has found out that the alleged homosexuals and lesbians are looking for young students in universities for sex.

According to our correspondent, dozens of posters were pasted on walls of mostly Kenyatta and Nairobi universities after renowned writer Binyavanga Wainaina publicly revealed he is gay in late January. When Campus Vibe contacted some of the alleged homosexuals seeking sex services, they told our correspondent that they pay university students between Sh250 and Sh4,000 for a night.

Kasarani police boss Augustine Thumbi said he has not received any report on the posters. He asked Campus Vibe to send him phone numbers of the posters so police can investigate.

One of the common posters at University of Nairobi’s Eastleigh Campus reads: “Want a gay man? Call 07… Price is negotiable”.

The toilet walls too are awash with writings advertising gay sex services for as low as Sh250.

Another one reads: ‘For the best gay experience, call 07XX XXX925, Gabbo.’ Another at Hall 5 reads: ‘I want a gay man. Price negotiable, call 07XXXXX271 Charlo’.

Campus Vibe has also learnt that lesbians have turned Ruwenzori and New Aberdares Hostel at Kenyatta University into hunting grounds.

One Charity has given her mobile number, and even promises money to those willing to have a romp. Her message is simple: ‘Want a cute chick for an exciting experience? Call 07XX XXX336 or 07XXXXX241.

These cases have also been reported in universities upcountry. Ruth Mulwe, a fourth-year education student at Mombasa Polytechnic University, claims that lesbians willing to pay have approached her before.

Ruth says lesbians frequent parties and clubs to seek new mates. Surprisingly, they are seen leaving with one or two in their vehicles.

“That is why I avoid clubs and parties,” Ruth told Campus Vibe.
