A flashmob of dancers surprised USIU students during the midday break.
The first ever flash mob performance excited students who witnessed the rare spectacle at the campus grounds near the IT building.
The performance was organised by the USIU journalism club and other dancers from groups such as Kipaji Africa Dance Crew on October 15.
The aim of the performance was to promote the club, showcase talent and encourage the arts at USIU.
There are currently no arts clubs at the university.
The flashmob dance took place at midday when most students are available.
Campus Vibe correspondent says the crowd were ecstatic when the performance started.
“You need to move in order to feel,” said Georgette Adrianne, one of the organisers of the flash mob.
Other organisers were Cecilia Sidi Garama and choreographer Lento.
The first highly publicised flash mob performance in Nairobi was at Koinange Street. It was meant to encourage the athletes representing Kenya at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
