Tears gripped family and friends in Kitui during the emotional sendoff ceremony for 5-year-old Amanda Mutheu, who died after being thrown from a balcony in Nairobi.
In a video shared online, Amanda's mother, clad in a black dress symbolic of the mood, addressed mourners painfully, recounting the life and times of the late young star.

"She always loved to hear this word, 'I love you mama.' She made her days with me so memorable. I will long for the days when I come from work, she is hiding in the house and I have to look for her. I will long for the days when I find her hiding in the car dressed up with the bag saying that she is going to work with me," Mama Amanda sorrowfully narrated.
The heartbreaking video drew an array of reactions from netizens, who had been following since her death, many sending their condolences.
